Thursday, March 24, 2016 - Friday, March 25, 2016
Marble Factory

Bank Holiday Electro Swing Party.

Imagine a 1930s speakeasy with an old radio in the corner playing swing and jazz classics to a crowd of drunk whisky drinkers all looking for a good time. Now imagine if somehow the radio suddenly picked up a distant futuristic noise…overlapping beats and bass with swinging rhythms to create a completely new alien sound…

Dutty Moonshine is the creation of Michael Rack – not only an extremely talented DJ and Musician but also one with a penchant for the seedy world of vaudeville. Mixing these together, he explores a new exciting sound via expertly crafted DJ sets or stage filling performances with his Big Band.

2015 saw Mike take his 13 piece Big Band out on to the festival circuit and in turn further cemented the fan base for Dutty Moonshine, with headline performances on some of the worlds biggest stages. The Dutty Moonshine Big Band features the vocal talents of Hypeman Sage and Maria Laveau plus a full 8-piece brass section, live drums and a pianist. It really harks back to the swinging vaudeville era that Mike loves but with added big bad baselines!

This will be the first time Michael has performed with his Big Band in Bristol. If that wasn’t enough, they’re be accompanied by an all star cast of special guests.

This duet are hot shit, quirky and well played sets and a charismatic Miles on the mic make for a cracking show. The sound is mash up and it’s done well. Balkan and Vintage sounds mashed with lots and lots of bass….yes please!!

Pioneers of the Ghetto Funk sound. Proud remixers of the songs you know and love. Famed across the globe for keeping the party alive. The brains behind Shindig Weekender!!

The Father of the Electro Swing and Vintage Remix UK scene. No one has done more for this scene than this man here. Responsible for bring acts such as Caravan Palace and Parov Stelar to old blighty.
He’s also the brainchild of Glastonburies Shangri-La arena previously known as Lost Vagueness.

Queen Bee and Rock n Roll selectress. She’s the DJ’s DJ. The kind of act than when she plays her fantastiv selection of original Rock n Roll and Rockabilly she’ll have the rest of the DJ’s looking over her shoulder with a notebook taking notes of the songs that are creating a Rock n Rolling crowd to rival Little Richard!

DJ Binge (Engine Earz)

Engine Earz are a massive Dubstep force of nature signed to Circus record. And their drummer Binge is a killer DJ. His all vinyl sets with juggling and scratching have had the likes of A Skills looking chuffed as hell.
